Palomar Japanese Baptist Church
パロマー日本人バプテスト教会
A Japanese-English church family in North County San Diego. Wherever you're from, you're welcome here.
Welcome
Palomar Japanese Baptist Church (PJBC) is a bilingual Japanese-English congregation in Escondido, California. We gather each week to worship God, grow in faith, and share the love of Jesus Christ.
Whether you speak Japanese, English, or both, we would love for you to join us. Come as you are.
Our Mission
We seek to share the gospel and the love of Christ with people of every generation and background, so that they may be connected to Jesus Christ, grow as Christians, and be shaped into true worshippers. In particular, we focus on bringing the gospel to international students from Japan, nurturing them, and sending them back to Japan.
Our worship services are bilingual (Japanese and English), overflowing with joy and love.
Our Vision
A Church Like the Family of God
A community like "the family of God," where we love one another with the love of Christ across age, race, and every barrier.
Romans 12:15
A Church That Contributes to Revival in Japan
Especially through evangelism to international students from Japan, they are born again through the gospel, shaped as vessels of the Lord, and in time sent out to Japan as salt of the earth. Through them, the kingdom of God expands to their families, friends, and beyond. A church that sends them out, believing they will become vessels used for the revival of Japan.
Matthew 5:13-16

VBS Children's Outreach (Mochi-Pounding)
A Vacation Bible School mochi-pounding event drew 17 children, most from a Japanese bilingual preschool. Together we worshiped, made crafts, pounded mochi, and shared the gospel — and we're continuing to build relationships with their families.

Nijikai — After-Service Fellowship
"Second Fellowship": after Sunday worship, students gather in a church member's home for a home-cooked meal, care, and prayer. Many students new to the gospel have been welcomed here and connected to Sunday worship.
